Drumland's Teachers
Evan Ritchie is an educator, clinician, composer and performer. His
career on stage includes composing and performing credits for
independent dance as well as four musicals including; "Honest Ed: The
Bargain Musical" (1998), "The Drowsy Chaperone" (all four Toronto
incarnations from 1998 - 2001), "Dance of the Dead" (2002) and most
recently, "Joe White and the Seven Divorcees" (2010). Evan continues
to perform on stage with the Toronto Tabla Ensemble adding electronic
elements and multimedia to their stage performance.
Evan has presented seminars on "Combining Technology with Acoustic
Music" notably at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention
in 2005. Evan appears as an interviewee in the article "Drummer as DJ" in DRUM! magazine's July 2007 issue and has demoed the Korg Wavedrum
and the Pearl EPRO Live during Pearl and Korg sponsored clinics.
Evan currently teaches at Drumland and is proud to be a part of this
fantastic drum shop.
Eric West is a fourth year music student attending Humber College’s
Degree Program. Over the years he has studied with the likes of Steve
Macuso, Paul DeLong, Barry Romberg, Mark Kelso, and Jim Blackley. Currently, Eric is working as a freelance musician as well as a drum
instructor at Drumland.
